Employment Opportunities

Registered Nurses - RN's with a minimum of one year experience can be trained to be great hospice nurses. All we add is a lot of TLC.

Social Workers - BSW, MSW or LCSW for counseling and initial assessments to our hospice patients and their families.

Certified Home Health Aides - CHHA's are always needed to help care for our patient's. Personal care is exactly what they get and need when we provide service.

Office Administrative - We also have several other opportunities in the office and in community education.

Volunteer Services

Hospice volunteers may be used to provide support and companionship to the patient and his or her family during the remaining days of the patient's life and to the surviving family following the patient's death.

Volunteer Training

TLC Home Hospice offers a volunteer training program for all prospective volunteers.

The program includes:

  1. A refined screening and selection process.
  2. Philosophy and structure of TLC Home Hospice.
  3. Roles and responsibilities of volunteers.
  4. Agency services offered and community resources.
  5. Communication skills
  6. Psychosocial issues and spiritual issues.
  7. Death and bereavement
  8. Confidentiality
  9. Reporting and documentation
  10. Volunteer opportunities

Volunteers make a big a difference in the life of the hospice family. They are available to serve in many ways such as providing emotional support,as caring listeners, helping with errands, letter writing and in providing relief to caregivers. Volunteers can also offer their services as clerical assistants in TLC Home Hospice's office.
