The "Art of Hearts" Annual Fundraiser, Sunday, December 2
 On December 2, the Foundation is hosting the fourth annual "The Art of Hearts", a gift sale of heart-related items and an auction of "heart art" at Castle Hill Retirement Village in Thousand Oaks. The silent and live art auction consists of pieces donated to the foundation by locally and nationally known artists.
Each piece of art in the auction incorporates a heart in the design. The heart is either a key part of the design or it is very subtle. In the past, the art auction has included pieces from such well-known artists as Romero Britto (Miami, Florida), Kate Yarbrough (Santa Barbara), Marian Haigh (Austin, Texas), Sheila Fein (Agoura), Ron McKee (Westlake Village), and Shannon Lundberg (Newbury Park).
The Gift Sale is from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm and there is no charge for admission. The art auction starts at 3:00 and goes until 5:00. There is a $20 per person entry fee and that includes beverages, one drink ticket, appetizers and entertainment. Castle Hill Retirement Village is located at 3575 N. Moorpark Road in Thousand Oaks.
The money raised by this event provides no-cost medical hospice care for numerous needy families throughout the community. Hospice Tree at the Simi Valley Town Center Mall, new for the holidays 2006: Loving Heart Hospice Foundation will be sponsoring the first ever hospice tree at the new Simi Valley Town Center Mall this coming holiday season. Dates and times are still to be determined, but if you are interested in helping to man a table at the mall to sell memorial ornaments for the tree, and memorial candles for our menorah, please contact us to that we can put you on a list now. We will contact you with the details as the plans get firmed up closer to the holidays. Bereavement
Sessions:
Join us for free-of-charge bereavement sessions at various locations
around the county. Have you lost a love one or know someone that
has? Are you still feeling the affects of loss? These confidential
group sessions led by a bereavement counselor can help you cope.

Caregiver
Support Group: Join us for a free-of-charge session at
our headquarters designed for hospice patient caregivers to learn
more about caring for this special need patient. This support group
will be led by a TLC Home Hospice staff member. Sessions will be
held once a quarter at our office. Next session date to be announced. Call for
